Torrent-Vision : A New TV Torrent Tracker From XWT Crew

If you have been around the BitTorrent scene for a while, you are bound to have heard about XtremeWrestlingTorrents (XWT for short). It is a long standing, veteran private tracker and one of the most popular sites indexing Wrestling content. Up until recently, XWT had two other sister sites, XWT-Classics, a wrestling tracker dedicated to classic content, and All4Nothing, a General/0Day torrent site. Well, the XWT family of trackers just got a new member, this time a specialized TV tracker in the name of Torrent-Vision.

The welcome message on forum gives you a brief idea about what this tracker is all about:

The tracker launched just about 2 months ago, and has gained some ground during this time. It currently tracks over 1200 TV torrents, and boasts an impressive registered users base of 7000 members. Indexed content is pretty much what you would expect from a TV tracker; individual episodes of latest shows, and full season packs of previously aired content. Actually, Torrent-Vision already indexes 200+ packs, which is quite an achievement for a two month old private torrent community.

For those of you worried about not being able to maintain a positive ratio due to capped bandwidth or slow upload speeds, good news is this tracker employs a seed points system which rewards you based on the TIME you seed a torrent, with no concern over how much data you actually uploaded:

In order to help our site have as many members as possible seeding torrents we have now added Seed Points. This means for every hour that you seed a torrent, you will receive 0.25 points. You can then trade your points for Upload Credit, Invites or a Custom Title!
Even if you are not uploading on a torrent, you WILL still receive points. We are hoping this new system will keep our older torrents alive for longer.

torrentsRmine – Niche TV Tracker For Talk Shows, Documentary, Reality TV & More

ong time readers of this blog should be no strangers to specialized TV torrent trackers such as BTN, BitmeTV, TVTorrents.Com and Tv.Torrents.Ro. But have you heard about torrentRmine (TRM)? While most TV trackers focus on popular drama, comedy, sitcoms, etc aired on US and Canadian television, TRM focuses more on specialized content such as TV talk shows, documentaries, reality TV and similar series. With their own ‘cappers’ who rip television shows from digital satellite TV (DSTV) and high definition TV (HDTV) broadcasts, TRM really has some unique content. Over the years, torrentsRmine has mostly been an invite only tracker – good news is that signups have been opened for a limited time and doors are now open to all.

When compared to leading TV trackers, TRM is a small community. As of 21/9/2011, it had around 600 registered members and ~2250 active torrents. The low member count is probably due to TRM being an invite only community and the fact that it frequently disables inactive members. As for the torrents, this tracker indexes and tracks some of the rarest TV torrents around. How does TRM get hold of such content? They have their own ‘cappers’ – folks who capture television shows from sources HDTV, DSTV, etc. Additionally, TRM has an excellent requests section with a high request fulfillment ratio. As mentioned earlier signups for TRM are currently open. Note that new members do not have access to all content on the tracker immediately after signup. To download some exclusive releases and season packs you need to be Power User rank or higher (getting promoted shouldn’t be too hard – minimum upload is 10GB and you only need to be a member for 2 weeks). And it’s worth mentioning that this is not an easy tracker to seed – since TRM requires you to maintain a minimum ratio, be very careful about what you download, especially at first (there are freeleech torrents of course – check out the gold and silver torrents which have 100% and 50% free leech respectively). TV AussieTT - Australian and New Zealand TV Show Torrent Tracker Open

We promised frequent updates and here’s another heads up on a niche TV torrent tracker. TV AussieTT is a private tracker specializing in television content from New Zealand and Australia. We have previously talked about torrent sites with Aussie content such as Diwana.Org (open for signup) and Across The Tasman (Open for signup) and if there are any fans out there on the lookout for Autralian or New Zealand TV shows, here’s yet another option for you. TV AussieTT is not exactly a new site but they suffered from a database error back in February 2011 which resulted in the loss of all users and torrents. Thankfully, the administrators have just started rebuilding TATT (and two of its sister sites) from scratch and it seems to be making good progress.

The rebooted version of TV AussieTT currently tracks around 90 torrents and has a registered users base in excess of 700 members. Before you complain about the low torrent count, note that all of the uploads were added during the past week or to be more precise within a 6 day time span. That’s actually pretty good for a niche torrent tracker and hopefully they will keep the momentum going in the weeks to come.

Speaking of the content indexed on AussieTT, it mostly has Australian and New Zealand (mainly Aussie) TV shows aired on free to air and cable TV channels. Shows seem to be capped and uploaded within a very short time after original airing. Indexed content include Drama, Comedy, Documentaries, Game shows, News, Reality TV and more. BitMeTV Open Signup Is Back For A Limited Time

Big news for fans of TV torrents. In a rather unexpected move earlier today, veteran private TV torrent tracker BitMeTV opened registrations to the public for a limited time. Why is this big news? 1. BMTV is one of the largest TV trackers in existence 2. It hasn’t had a proper open signup in almost 3 years, the last one being held in 2008. This time around the news is official and not just a rumor or gossip. Limited open signups were acknowledged by site staff in a mass PM sent to all existing members. For those of you who are new to the torrent scene, BMTV is a highly sought after private tracker specializing in television shows. From individual episodes to full season packs, you can find here almost all major TV series, both old and new.

As more experienced BitTorrent fans would remember, BMTV has been around since..well..forever. The tracker is now 6 years old and is one of the oldest private torrent sites around. However it’s almost always been a closed, invite only community throughout this time – this is why BMTV is one of the most requested sites of all times in BitTorrent invite forums and blogs.

With 29000+ torrents and an active user base of 23000 members, BMTV ranks right up there amongst top TV torrent trackers in the world. It tracks TV shows and documentaries from around the world (mostly U.S, but Canadian, Australian, British and other foreign shows are also indexed) and these are usually available for download in both standard and high definition formats. Coming back to the hot topic, yes signups are currently open. A mass PM was sent to all existing members earlier today, which simply said:

We do not know till when the doors would remain open. However, this is a very rare occurrence and in case you haven’t created an account yet, get in while you can. This is a great tracker to have if you are a TV fan.

IPTV Torrents – Unique Private Tracker For Video Podcasts & Internet Shows

IPTV Torrents is an awesome tracker. It’s awesome because it tracks unique content that you pretty much can’t find anywhere else. I’ve been using BitTorrent trackers since 2004 and IPTV Torrents is the first ever tracker I’ve come across that specializes in video podcasts and internet shows. Now, this is a torrent site made especially for geeks and tech fanatics – the site tracks individual episodes and complete packs of popular video podcasts such as The Digg Reel, Systm, BSoD, HAK 5, ROFL, Food Mob and a number of other internet shows, both old and new (for those who are unfamiliar with the term podcast, it’s a series of video/audio files released over the web in an episodic format – something like a TV show but broadcast over the internet). The site is still brand new but with a lot of unique content under its belt and with a dedicated staff team developing the site, IPTV Torrents’ future looks very bright.

Quoted below is what the owner of IPTV torrents posted on Reddit’s /r/trackers SubReddit:

I run a little website called iptvarchive and a few months ago, myself and a few online buddies put together IPTVtorrents. So if you happen to like all the old video podcasts like infonomicon, packet sniffers, hacktv, or even the newer ones like shows from Revision3, we are trying to make a sort of one-stop-shop for shows.
I know it doesn't look like much, but we are passionate about internet shows and if one person finds something they like, that makes the whole thing worthwhile. Currently, I am really the only person making uploads, so if you have something you'd like to share, pop by and say hi. Otherwise, leech your heart out!

As of 8/3/2011, IPTV Torrents tracked around 110 active torrents and had a registered users base of 50 members. It’s still new and hasn’t had much publicity yet - expect the statistics to increase as days progress. Note that this is a niche site targeted at geeks. While the tracker might not find as large a following as a general/0doay tracker, it’s uniqueness will definitely act as an advantage in recruiting new members.

As you can see from the screenshot above, IPTVT tracks a lot of complete seasons of popular internet shows. Some of these are of older shows that have now ended. They do index new episodes of modern podcasts but we understand that there is a wait time for new uploads – this is to ensure that shows creators do not get ripped off and they too get adequate traffic for the content they created. To put it short, this trackers aim seems to become a repository of video podcasts, but not to pirate everything and cause damage to original publishers. As per the owners comment on Reddit, IPTV Torrents even has permission from some original authors to publish their content as torrents. On a side note, if anyone reading this has his/her own internet show, this tracker might be a good platform to distribute it to the masses.

Registrations for IPTV Torrents is currently open. If you are a fan of podcasts and internet shows, this is an excellent tracker to have.
